Yup, I finished the revision of the agent-reviewed draft of my middle-grade novel this afternoon. I've got 40,000 words and 33 chapters of adventure and no publisher yet. Still, it's a milestone of sorts so I'm off to The Tonga Room to celebrate (before they close forever).
What's next? I'm four days past deadline, but June is on my calendar as Get-Something-Out-There Month. I've got a novel and an audio project to pitch. I'll be pulling out my query notes tomorrow. Market research trips are scheduled as well as sprints to Copy Central and the post office.
Oh, and I plan to lose the ten pounds I gained while sitting at this laptop, but not today. Today is for drinks in a souvenir tumbler.
You can do it!
Please tell me the Tonga room isn't closing down. It is where my parents went on their honeymoon and it is where Rich and I celebrated Annie's 21st birthday with her. Bad drinks and bad food but you gotta love the place.
