First the good news: my middle-grade manuscript the Hungry Clock is in the hands of an agent. I don't know whether to expect a yay or a nay, but either way this person is a great reader and I'm looking forward to commentary. Meanwhile I have some catching up to do.
I'm currently querying a list of five potential hosts for the
audio project and designing a web graphic for whoever the lucky host is. My first pass at the graphic is pictured above. In the story Miss Lillian Eiderdown's yarn shop — Entwhistle-Eiderdown Wools — has a sunny yellow bag. I thought I'd start with that.
The goal is to have a package of press materials ready to send out two to three months before the piece airs since most publications have a three-month lead time. The final graphic will be used in PR (public relations) items like postcards and press releases. This is work I've done before, but I'd forgotten how much fun it can be.
If you have a favorite knitting blogger let me know and I'll add them to the PR list. There's a nice little merit badge in the works for anyone that posts about this project the week the downloads go into effect.
Let me know the week the downloads go into effect and I will post. If there is anything else I can do to help let me know.
