Two pups for two little girls

My campaign to knit for all the little girls in my circle of friends continues. The pup above is one of two. The other is wrapped in blue tissue and ready to mail. 

Part of the challenge here is to knit with yarn I already have (that being the stash under the bed). I found a skein of brown sock yarn and a cone (!) of fun fur and found myself with a dog in progress. Fun fur is NOT fun on the needles, but I perservered.

 

I think the girls are going to like their new friends. I did take into account the Sister Factor  since my sibling always got the better gift than I did. No matter what it was, her presents were bigger, pinker and more exciting than mine. My poor mother...

These two dogs are exactly the same except one has green eyes, the other blue; one has an A (for Anna) on its ribbon collar and the other has an M (for Meghan). 

I feel so clever! I think I'll make the feeling last by having an ice cream right after I deliver these to the post office.
